About Thai Thyme Pasadena

Located at 123 W California Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91105, Thai Thyme Pasadena operates as a thai restaurant serving Pasadena in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pasadena, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Thai Thyme Pasadena at (626) 469-0080; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is thaithymeorders.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 28 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded thai restaurants in Pasadena.

Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I am going to cut right to the chase. This place was pretty disappointing. But, I will start with the positives first. The chicken satay was cooked really well and tasted amazing! My friend ordered a seafood medley sort of dish (the name escapes me) and mentioned how good everything was cooked. Now for the bad. I ordered Drunken Noodles, a pretty popular SPICY dish. I ordered the level 3 spice out of 5 and expected it to be fairly spicy. However, when it arrived it was in a pool of grease and very bland. It was so bland I had to ask the waitress to give me a side of chili sauce. We ordered the mango sticky rice which was mostly style over substance. The flavor was good, but the portion of mango was pretty sad. They seem to try and cover that aspect up by serving it in a decorative heart shape. But, picking up a piece of mango was so difficult because they were so tiny. Lastly, the service was poor. When we arrived we sat for 10 minutes and no one came to ask us for our drinks. When a waitress finally came we had to tell her to get us drinks since no one came before. On top of that no one came to check on us the whole time and I kept having to flag a waitress down. Overall, very p

I love the food here. The service is great. Wait time for the food isn't a problem if you go here on your lunch break. If you have allergies, as I do, they accommodate you with care and a smile. I keep returning when I crave great Thai food.

I'm from New Jersey, and traveled to California for work. Thai Thyme in Pasadena was the first restaurant I ate at after landing in CA and I really enjoyed it! The hostess was very friendly (I wish I got her name!) and gave me great suggestions. I ordered two appetizers, the Curry Puff and BBQ chicken. I got sticky rice to have with the BBQ chicken after the hostess laughed at me for suggesting that I was going to it eat it alone πŸ˜…. It was a great suggestion on her part. Everything tasted authentic. The food took some time to come out, but I could tell that it was because it was made fresh. However the hostess gave me some free soup, while I waited. That was very kind and thoughtful of her! The plating for both dishes were beautiful! Unfortunately, I only took a picture of the Curry Puffs. Hard working staff doing the best they can for their patrons. It was a pleasure to dine here πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

We ordered a Thai glass noodle salad with chicken, pot stickers and beef pad see ew. Each dish came out separately but the wait was not long at all. Everything was delicious! The service was great, because they came to check on us several times, ensuring our water glasses were always full. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the temperature of the restaurant; I don’t think there’s air conditioning. On a very hot day like today (over 90 degrees) it was not easy to ignore how hot I felt.
